Newport Beach has its 120th birthday in September 2026. Join us for the story of the last twenty years, told by its mayors. Don Webb, the Centennial Mayor and NBHS Board Member, will moderate this presentation. The tale will be told by Former Mayors Ed Selich, Nancy Gardner, Diane Dixon, and Joe Stapleton.

WHAT: Largest Swing Dance Lesson. Learn the Balboa Swing, invented in Newport Beach during the Big Band era.

WHEN: Sunday, April 19

WHERE: Peninsula Park Athletic Field (next to Balboa Pier)

Sign up to be part of the attempt. The official Guinness World Record dance instruction will last 30 minutes. Register as an individual or a pair—solo participants will be matched with a partner on site.

No dance experience necessary.
